What are the Center's hours of operation?
Apple Tree Children Center's hours of operation are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

What is your policy regarding late fees?

There is a late fee charge of ten dollars for every fifteen minutes your child is at the center after  6:00 pm.  We ask that parents please recognize when they are late and to pay the teacher accordingly.  Please do not put us in the position of having to ask for the late fee.

Why is there a late fee policy?

We understand that on rare occasions a parent may be late, however this policy was established to deter daily lateness. 

What is the closing policy in case of inclement weather?

When the weather is inclement, the Center will announce a closing or late opening on the Center’s answering machine.  On days in which the Center may open late, it will usually open by 8:30 am.

Are there holidays on which the center be closed?

The Center will be closed on the following days:

    - Good Friday
    - Easter Monday
    - Memorial Day
    - July Fourth
    - Labor Day
    - Thanksgiving and the Friday immediately following Thanksgiving
    - Christmas Eve thru New Years Day

    Are parents still required to pay tuition on days the center are closed?

    Parents are required to pay full tuition when a holiday falls on a weekday.

    What is the Center’s policy regarding a sick child?

    When a child shows symptoms of illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, or elevated fever, he or she is immediately isolated and parents are notified.  The child may return to the center after either receiving a written clearance from his/her physician or after being free of fever,diarrhea, or nausea for twenty-four hours.  Health alerts will be posted throughout the Center to keep parents notified of contagious illnesses.

    What is the Center’s policy regarding medication?

    Should your child require a dosage of prescription or non-prescription medication during the day, parents need to obtain and complete medication authorization forms available in the office.  Prescription medication may not be administered without a licensed practitioner’s written instructions on the label. 

    What is the Center’s Lunch policy?

    Children should bring lunch in lunch boxes marked with their names.  Milk, juice, plastic utensils, napkins, and pre-school disposable cups are provided by the Center.  Please pack your child a nutritious lunch, free from excessive “junk food” and candy.  Fast food should not be delivered at lunchtime.

    What if my child forgets his/her lunch?

    We will make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches if your child forgets to bring lunch.  A microwave is available for re-heating foods.

    Do you offer part-time child care?
    Apple Tree does offer part-time care for 2-3 days a week. The specific days of the week can be customized to fit you and your child's schedules. Please contact us for more detailed information regarding this option.
