Summer Program

Apple Tree's Summer program begins after the school year ends and runs throughout the end of August. Specific dates vary from year to year, and will be provided to parents in advance. Children ages 5 and up participate in activities based on monthly themes and have the opportunity to enjoy arts and crafts, games, field trips, sports and special guests. The campers also continue to develop fine motor skills, spanish, and reading skills as they do throughout the school year.

We will have breakfast in the summer camp room from 8:30-9:00 am, so if your child is not at camp by this time, please have them eat at home. Our lunch policy remains the same throughout the summer months.

Our themes change each year, and a summer camp news letter will be provided to parents prior to the beginning of camp. Our daily schedule (weather permitting) is as follows:

  9:30 - 10:00 am Circle Time
  10:00 - 10:15 am Fine Motor Development
  10:15 - 11:15 am Snack/Art/Center Time
  11:15 - 11:30 am Spanish
  11:30 - 12:00 pm Outside/Gym Time
  12:00 - 12:30 pm Lunch
  12:30 - 12:45 pm Clean-up
  12:45 - 1:00 pm D.E.A.R Time
  1:00 - 1:30 pm Journal Writing
  1:30 - 2:30 pm Art/Center Time
  2:30 - 3:00 pm Outside/Gym Time
  3:00 - 3:30 pm Snack Time
  3:30 - 3:45 pm Game Time
  3:45 - 4:30 pm Center Time
  4:30 - 5:00 Outside/Gym Time
 
  On Mondays the children will participate in "Rebounders" gymnastics and on Wednesdays they will have "Sportztime." On Thursday and Fridays the children will have "Sharing Time." On these days your child can bring an item from home to share and play with during center time.
